Theo lived with my late husband, our daughter Caroline, and me at Elam Virginia. During the week, he and a half dozen or so dogs and two cats had the place to themselves while Jim and I were in Norfolk making a living. Week-ends we joined Theo. We were happy that Theo had a passion for painting which made for a great pastime when we weren’t there.
After Theo died, his grand-daughter Caroline made an inventory of all the pieces her grand’pere had left us and a book was later published featuring many photos of Theo’s art along with a story written by his son-in-law Jim Kincaid. Today Caroline Kincaid-Anderson, Theo’s grand-daughter, and I, Catherine Walter, his daughter, are the custodians of his work. The collection is kept in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Theo wrote “Dans l’art et le reve, tout est permis” (Art and Dreams have no Bounds). May Theo’s images bring joy into your life.
